Overview
The Model JKW-7ER Outdoor Current Transformer is engineered for outdoor service in utility, industrial, and commercial electrical distribution installations, targeting protective relaying, metering, and instrumentation. Model JKW-7ER is a butyl-rubber butyl rubber instrument transformer, specially designed for longer life and higher reliability, and is part of our’s high-accuracy revenue metering line of high accuracy, extended range revenue metering current transformers which maintain IEEE C57.13 0.15 accuracy class from 1% of rated current up through rating factor
Constructed with precision-wound cores and robust insulation, the JKW-7ER maintains rated accuracy through repeated thermal cycling, mechanical vibration, and environmental exposure typical of outdoor installations. Key ratings: 34.5 kV, 200 kV BIL, 2 to 1250A. Design conforms to IEEE C57.13 (where applicable) for instrument-transformer accuracy and dielectric testing.
Typical deployments include substation switchgear, generator and transformer protection, revenue metering, feeder and motor protection, and control-room instrumentation.
