Model JVM-4 Indoor Voltage Transformer
Indoor voltage transformer for metering, protective relaying, and control power; rated 75 kV, 500 VA.
Our JVM-4 provides reliable indoor voltage transformer performance for metering, protective relaying, and control power.
Overview
The Model JVM-4 Indoor Voltage Transformer is engineered for indoor service in utility, industrial, and commercial electrical distribution installations, targeting metering, protective relaying, and control power. Designed for indoor service; suitable for operating meters, instruments, relays, and control devices. Regulatory Agency Approvals UL Recognized
Constructed with precision-wound cores and robust insulation, the JVM-4 maintains rated accuracy through repeated thermal cycling, mechanical vibration, and environmental exposure typical of indoor installations. Key ratings: 75 kV, 500 VA. Design conforms to IEEE C57.13 (where applicable) for instrument-transformer accuracy and dielectric testing.
Typical deployments include substation switchgear, generator and transformer protection, revenue metering, feeder and motor protection, and control-room instrumentation. Refer to the attached data sheet for complete ratio, burden, accuracy class, and dimensional details; contact our engineering team for custom ratings, extended range, or non-standard configurations.

- ANSI Accuracy Classification (60 Hz)
- Accuracy 1 - operated at rated voltage: 0.3 W, X, M, Y, Z; 1.2 ZZ. Accuracy 2 - operated at 58% of rated voltage: 0.3 W, X, M, Y; 1.2 Z. Accuracy 3 - burden impedance as at rated voltage, operated at 58% of rated voltage: 0.3 W', X', M', Y', Z'.
- Fuse Type
- Current-limiting, Type EJ-1
- Voltage Rating Notes
- (1) For continuous operation, rated primary voltage should not be exceeded by more than 10%; under emergency conditions, over-voltage must be limited to 1.25x the transformer primary-voltage rating. (2) Operated at 58% of rated voltage; the prime symbol (') signifies burdens that do not correspond to standard ANSI definitions.
- 50 Hz Availability
- Available for 50 Hz applications in many ratings; IEEE 57.13 (which testing is based on) does not apply at 50 Hz. Customers ordering for 50 Hz must supply an accuracy specification (burden VA and power factor), otherwise the unit is tested at 60 Hz with IEEE 57.13 test burdens.
