Power Rocker Switch - Polarity Reversing

This power rocker switch is a polarity-reversing momentary rocker switch designed for direct control of DC motors in mobile equipment, industrial actuators, and marine applications. Unlike simple ON/OFF rocker switches, the polarity-reversing design uses an internal contact arrangement that reverses the polarity applied to the load — allowing a single switch to drive a DC motor in both forward and reverse directions from a common power source. This eliminates the need for external relays, contactors, or complex wiring in bi-directional motor control circuits. 

Constructed from copper, steel, brass, synthetic rubber, and engineering thermoplastics, this switch is engineered for high-current switching in demanding environments including engine compartments, boat bilges, and industrial control panels. The momentary contact design returns to the center OFF position when released, preventing the motor from being left energized indefinitely. Shunting contact behavior ensures make-before-break sequencing during direction changes, protecting the motor and connected wiring from harmful voltage spikes and contact arcing. 

Typical applications include electric winches, boat trim tabs, marine anchor windlasses, tarp motors on utility vehicles, tailgate lifts, actuator controls, and any DC motor circuit requiring bidirectional operation from a compact panel-mounted operator. Panel-mount installation and quick-connect terminals simplify integration into existing wiring harnesses.
