Overview
Single-phase pole-mounted distribution transformers are designed for overhead electrical distribution systems and decentralized power supply networks. Installed directly on utility poles, these distribution transformers step medium-voltage electricity down to the low-voltage levels required by residential, commercial, agricultural, and light industrial customers.
By locating the transformer close to the electrical load, utilities can shorten the low-voltage distribution distance, reduce conductor losses, improve voltage regulation, and increase overall power distribution efficiency.
